The Lumos Bicycle Helmet

THE SAFEST BICYCLE HELMET EVER
Yes, it is a Kickstarter project, but with 16 days to go it already got 3 times the funding they were looking for!

The Lumos is the ultimate bicycle helmet with brake lights and turn signals to help cyclists stay safe and visible on the road.Genius! Yes, it shouldn't be difficult or inconvenient to take care of your basic safety as a cyclist. Yet we frequently forget or misplace our lights, and drivers are often frustrated at the difficulty in both seeing and predicting where some cyclists want to go on the road.

How does it work? There is a small remote that mounts wherever it makes the most sense for your bike and riding style. The Lumos helmet will automatically pair with the remote whenever you are in close proximity to it. Lumos also comes with an integrated accelerometer. It senses when you slow down, and automatically turns all the rear lights bright solid red to signal that you are braking.

The WINKpens

Have your wine - and write with it!
Now this is a great idea:  The WINKpens brand is inspired by the idea of using “Wine as Ink.” It is a simple, sleek, modular pen design. The pen has been engineered to adapt to varying viscosities of ‘ink’, allowing users to easily refill their pen with virtually any type of fluid that contains a staining property.

So now you can write your notes and letters in Cabernet Sauvignon, cranberry juice or maybe a Russian Imperial Stout!

Currently on Kickstarter .. 14 days to go and they need another $20,000 ...

Hisy

The Bluetooth Smartphone Remote Control
"Let me take a selfie!"

No doubt, the smartphone has become the #1 camera in the world. And how many times a day do we find ourselves ... or see people ... taking that special selfie with whatever is in your background. Only - once in a while your arm is simple too short, right? In comes ... one of those simple ideas we all wish we had first: The Bluetooth Smartphone Remote Control.

There are several models out there, but we like the "HISY" the best. Why? It's small, it looks cool and it is super easy to use.
You just pair it once and from there, every time you activate the camera, you can take a photo – or start and stop recording video – just by pressing that same button. No app is required, and you can still use the phone's onscreen shutter release button when preferred.

Acton RocketSkates

12 mph on a pair of Electric Skates
It started as a KickStarter project making their inventors more than ten times  ($550,725) than the pledged goal ($50,000). Funded! And the skates became reality.

The big difference to other electric skates - there is no remote control, your feet control the skates by tilting the skates forward to accelerate, and tilting back on your heel to apply the brakes.
Each skate has two hub motors controlled by an on-board microprocessor, and are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. The skates communicate with each other so they maintain the same speed and behavior.
