The $17,000 Smartwatch
Ouch. Yes, of course we know that there are cheaper Apple Watch (so it's not the "iWatch" then?) models, starting at $349, but the "Edition" series will cost you at least $10,000 for the 38mm version and the 42mm begins at
$12,000, both with a sport band.
There are eight different standard
color and band combinations for the Apple Watch Edition (which is available in either 18-karat
gold or rose gold), and the price
will rise — all the way up to $17,000 — depending on which band and size
you choose.
"(...) crafted from 18-karat gold that our
metallurgists have developed to be up to twice as hard as standard gold.
The display is protected by polished sapphire crystal. And an
exquisitely designed band provides a striking complement. (...)"
It will be interesting to see who will buy Apple’s most expensive consumer-focused product ever.
Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Edition begin on April 10th, and there will be special displays set up in Apple Stores to preview the smartwatch.

LG Watch Urbane
A classic Look with modern day Features
Here it is: The LG Watch Urbane, the companies maiden foray into the luxury smart watch world. And with its all-metal construction and attention to detail it sure draws some attention.
We will have to wait for MWC 2015 to get all the details, all we know at this point is that the Android device will be available with a gold and silver finish and that it features a 1.3" P-OLED display with a 320 x 320 resolution and a 245ppi pixel density.
The LG Watch Urbane comes with a stitched leather band that can be replaced by any 22mm wide strap.
Perhaps the biggest question on our minds is just how much the device will retail for. Well, LG's press release fails to include pricing of the timepiece... but we hear it will be around $450.
