The KWC Waterstation

The rotating kitchen sink
Truthfully, the KWC Waterstation is more a multifunctional food prep station than a simple sink. It has wedge-shaped cutting boards, bowls and drainage pans that rotate around an industrial-strength faucet. So you can wash fruit, defrost meat and chop then throw out veggies all in the same place.

It’s truly the home chef’s dream sink. Unfortunately for most amateur chefs, it will have to stay that way. The sink, which comes with a massive $15,000 price tag, is nearly impossible to find in the United States ... and with the size of a large bus tire expensive to ship.

The sink is sold as a freestanding island unit or can be built into a countertop or an island—which would require some kind of custom installation on top of the hefty price.

Still - cool, eh?

U.S.S. enterprise Sushi Set

These are the Sushi of the Starship Enterprise
The U.S.S. Enterprise is taking over your kitchen! We have already seen the Enterprise pizza cutter .. and now the friends of the Japanese cuisine get their own piece of (officially-licensed) Star Trek gadgetry:

The U.S.S. Enterprise Sushi Set!

Set it on your table, and it looks like a mid-warp U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 on a wooden base. But the wooden base is actually a sushi plate. Remove the top of the saucer section, and you have a little dish for your soy sauce. And slide out the warp effect from the nacelles and you'll have a pair of chopsticks. The Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise Sushi Set is just the thing to elevate sushi... into the final frontier!

The Meneghini La Cambusa

No, seriously - it's a fridge!
Is this not the coolest fridge you have ever seen? It's the first fridge we would actually put in the living room, or even bedroom. Although, it is actually not just a fridge, it is in fact more of a mini-size self-contained kitchen.

No, seriously. Just look at it:
It's a three-door fridge that measures 249 x 218 x 63 cm. Door number 1 on the left isn't actually a fridge, but 11.8 cubic feet of dry storage where you can keep kitchen supplies, glassware and tools. Door number 2 on the upper far right is the actual fridge with 11.8 cubic feet of temperature-controlled storage, while door number 3 at the bottom right is a freezer with 3 cubic feet of space.  Oh, and then there is the compartment in the mioddle, which can be equipped with a coffee maker, a microwave, a multi-function oven, an ice maker ... or even a TV. Which brings us back into the living room or the bedroom.

You want one? Not a problem, just write a cheque in the amount of  at least $40,000 .. and it is yours!

Did you know that there is a huge coffee-culture in Japan? Yes,
Japan has gone a bit coffee-crazy in recent times. We have just been to Tokyo and seen lots of cafes and espresso bars opening up.

And Japan wouldn't be Japan if they wouldn't bring it to the next level. So -  certain talented baristas have created a social media storm in a coffee cup. Yes, it’s a 3D latte art trend turning the foam of a cafe latte or cappuccino into a temporary sculpture floating on the top of the drink. And now you can enjoy a similar drink without acquiring the skills of the latte artists! Introducing the 3D Latte Art Maker Awa Taccino!

The 3D Latte Art Maker allows you to create foam sculptures. All you need is some milk and then the Awa Taccino will blend and dispense the milky foam in a way that's easy to control and "sculpt" into your choice of latte art. So how about a rabbit, bear, frog, or cat?

Dutch Lab Brewing Machines

The Art of Making Coffee

The Dutch Lab - a South Korean design studio that takes brewing the perfect Java to the next level! Their cold-brew coffee towers are sculptures, pieces of art inspired by architectural landmarks across the globe. But there is more to it. A lot more!

"Deep inside unexpectedly high degrees of the hot fire, a shaped sculpture is born from a shapeless object through a process of manufacture and polish."

Coffee, one essential part of many people’s daily and busy lives. New discoveries are always in the search for a better taste and efficiency of coffee for its consumers.

The methods of coffee-making vary from requiring expensive materials and tools to cheap and fast home made techniques. But the difference of the quality of these two extremes varies as much as its methods do.

This is where Dutch Lab took action.
