Losing your driver's license has never been so easy!
The wait is over! And we got what we wanted: The world's most powerful hybrid supercar. Yes, Christian von Koenigsegg has done it again!
The Regera uses a hybrid drivetrain, albeit one completely unlike anything we’ve seen
before. It uses both a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine and three
electric motors for a total combined output of 1.11 megawatts, which
converts to 1509 metric horsepower.
Koenigsegg claims the 0-to-400-kph (249 mph)
acceleration time of less than 20 seconds makes the Regera—Swedish for
“to reign”—the fastest-accelerating car in the world. We also heard 3.2 seconds between 150 to 250 km/h but there is no official 0-100 time ... yet.
Just 80 examples of the Koenigsegg Regera will be built. The price tag? We heard little less than $2 Million.
